I’m having problems with the instructions for the half granny square bag even though I’ve made granny squares. Do I crochet it in rounds or rows? Thanks

For the crochet drawstring bag, row 26 and 27 says double around. Do you mean double crochet? Sorry if this seems silly. I’m very new to crochet. The top of the pattern that mentions stitches doesn’t have double crochet so I just want to be sure I’m doing it right. I love this bag!

I am relatively new at crochet and was searching for Granny Squares when your Granny Star Ornaments came up. Can you explain these three lines?

    2: (ch2, 2dc, ch3), (3dc, ch3) x4, sl st to close

3: sl st across to ch3 space, 3dc, ch3, 3dc, ch1, *3dc, ch3, 3dc, ch1 in ch3 sp* around, sl st. to join, sl st to corner space.

4:*4dc, ch3, 4dc in corner sp, 1dc in next sp*
