THANK GOODNESS my family came for a visit this weekend! I got to give my brother-in-law, who has a *teensy* obsession with Domo, his Christmas gift! Woo Hoo! Feast your eyes on this Domo-inspired amigurumi awesome: He TOTALLY looks like the real thing, eh? Here’s a shot of b-i-l making him dance around a little, just to test him out:
Much thanks to Nerdigurumi, who supplied the free pattern!
(You can find it HERE.)
As for my craft show, It was a wonderful experience. There was next to *no* traffic, sadly, which means that I *would* have made some money, except that I immediately spent all my revenue. Oops. I’m a sucker for a church fundraiser, don’t you know? In honor of AuntBethany’s Random Acts of Christmas, I pulled a few RACs of my own, including giving an awesome jewelry vendor her *first ever* sale (how cool is that?), spending $5 on what should have been a complimentary cup of coffee, and dropping another $5-spot for a $1 raffle ticket. I only sold a few things myself, and like I said, promptly spent most of my profit, but I have to say – RACs are sort of addicting, and I can’t wait to try some more!
Here’s a shot of my awesome booth:
My sister-in-law stopped by to keep me company behind the table, and we’re currently conspiring to share a table at the next craft show we can find – complete with my happy little crochet items and her home-made bath products (which can be found HERE and HERE, at our respective Etsy shops). FUN! })i({
You will be happy to know that Domo sleeps with his new daddy every night now. Yay!
I’m happy you enjoyed yourself at your craft show — I was gonna e-mail you to ask how it was! Sounds like fun, and I hope you do it again!
$5 for coffee?!?!? That’s unreal! You should have told them that those prices were too high…THAT should have been you RAC…giving tips to coffee vendors!
I’m so happy you’re doing RACs, too! They ARE addicting, and they will brighten your day, trust me. Thanks for the shout out…for some reason, I wasn’t notified of the mention, but I saw it today! Thanks dear friend!
cool booth. You have quite an assortment of items !
Oh, the coffee was complimentary for vendors, but I donated $5 anyway (hence the RAC)… =)
thanks! it was so fun!
