Friends, I haven’t had a lot of time to crochet, what with the pending move and all… Our kitchen table has been turned into an impromptu floor plan as we try to figure out which furniture to keep & which to store/get rid of:
Luckily I did have time to whip up this little thing, which I made using a vintage stitch from 1899 called the Crazy Shell Stitch, or Crazy Stitch. (You can find a tutorial for the crazy stitch HERE).
I was going to add some beads and a closure, but most of my crafting supplies are packed at the moment, so I just hooked the lanyard from my camera through the top to form a strap. Luckily the yarn I used had a bit of a stretch (it’s the ultra soft bamboo stuff I got in New Mexico), so this little guy now holds both my iPhone AND my camera! Perfect!
Here’s the pattern:
CRAZY STITCH iPHONE/CAMERA CASE:
5.5mm hook (I)
1: ch 12
2: 3dc in 4th ch from hook. (skip 3ch, sc in next ch, ch3, 3dc in same ch) x2. ch3 & turn.
3: *sc in the ch3 sp from previous row, ch3, 3dc in same sp* ch3 & turn.
4-22 : repeat row 3 (18)times & FO. (You can add or subtract rows here depending on the size of your camera and/or phone).
FINISHING:
Fold your FO in half & sew up each side. Done!
