The Deck Garden, and also, some Warm Fuzzies

9 Aug

I was going to spend my post today lamenting the woes of having to plant my entire garden in pots:

but then a thing happened & I really had to pass on the warm fuzzies. Apparently my husband reads my blog (unprompted!!), and when I came to bed last night he had removed all of the books from my “to-read” window sill! He stacked them neatly in two piles (by size, of course): one small, manageable looking pile next to my side of the bed, and one larger pile hidden in the corner of the room. Awww! It was such a delicious warm fuzzy that I had to share. Plus, I really shouldn’t waste energy complaining about my deck garden. A deck garden is better than no garden at all, right? })i({

    I, too, am a container gardener. And it’s fun. It’s not as productive as in-ground gardening, of course. But given a choice between a small harvest or no harvest, I’ll opt for what I’ve got every time!

    i LOVE gardening in pots. it’s so much easier to switch things up than having to dig in the ground. too bad the neighborhood miscreants killed ours 😦
